Midnight Oil Company, or MoCo, is a small business based out of Tampa Bay and is a passion project operated solely by myself, Ron Benson. I’m a self-taught maker specializing in handcrafted leather goods that blend luxury with everyday functionality. With nine years of experience as an entrepreneur, I’ve built three brands, culminating in my latest venture focused on luxury handbags, wallets, belts, and innovative personal protective equipment (PPE).
My journey began as a welder/fabricator, a trade that reignited my creativity and desire to explore different mediums. Transitioning into leatherwork allowed me to express my vision through vintage-inspired designs, combining timeless elegance with modern needs. My acclaimed Pencil Pusher and other PPE products showcase my commitment to innovation.
